Good news for those who travel across Korea: in a few years your trip will get much faster! Right now most people travel between locales in Korea by express or direct buses. Taking the train is great for making a trip to Seoul from Gwangju or Daejeon, as you can hop on the KTX. The last leg of the KTX from Seoul to Busan will open in November, which will allow people to travel between the two most populated cities in about 2 hours and change.
