IPhone, you might have some competition

Samsung Electronics is getting ready to launch their Galaxy smartphone on Tuesday, to coincide with Apple's World Developers Conference.  At the WDC, Apple is expected to unveil the IPhone 4G, so Samsung is hoping that their Galaxy will steal some of the spotlight from the popular smartphone.  The Galaxy will run off of Android software, and will debut on a number of carriers worldwide (including T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint in the US).

From the picture accompanying the article, this phone somewhat like the IPhone in design/implementation.  But it claims that it's the fastest smartphone running Android software.  After next week, we shall see how the Galaxy pits against the new IPhone, which is rumored to come to Korea sometime in June/July.

I will be waiting for news from the WDC to see what features will be offered on the new IPhone, as well as updates on the new IPod Touch (if there is a change in that).  I hope to get the new IPhone 4G when it comes to Korea this summer.
