Awesome Things About Korea #2

Now that the weather in Korea has broken free of the lingering cold and thrown itself into spring headfirst, it's time to enjoy a unique warm-weather treat:  patbingsu (팥빙수).  Patbingsu is made with shaved ice, sweetened azuki beans, fresh fruit, ice cream/frozen yogurt, sweetened condensed milk, pieces of rice cake, jelly candy, and cereal flakes.

You can find this treat in many restaurants and ice cream shops all over Korea from May until September, and it's the perfect way to beat the heat!.  There are a couple of ways to go about eating it:  you could eat it layer by later until you hit bottom, or mix it all up into a soup of frosty deliciousness.  Either way, it's definitely something good to try while you are in Korea.  So why not get some with your friends today?
