Chonnam National University

One of my favorite places in Gwangju is Chonnam National University, a large public university on the north-eastern side of Gwangju.  The campus, which is beautiful in spring and fall due to the wide array of colors on display, is a great place to walk and explore.  If you want to rest, take a break next to the pond near the back gate.  Chundehumoon, the back gate, is home to hundreds of stores and restaurants, all vying for your won.  Coffee shops are tucked in between noraebangs and PC rooms, offering a quite respite from the hustle and bustle of the street.  There are plenty of restaurants and bars to satisfy any taste--and just recently Gwangju's own Mexican cantina opened there.  (Check it out!)
