Feelin' green

One of my favorite things on a cold day (or any day really) is a nice cup of green tea. Add to that green tea lattes, green tea ice cream, green tea noodle soup, and green tea nengmyeun among other dishes, you've got a lot of green! Green tea is abundant, fragrant, delectable, healthful, and beautiful--as you can probably see in my blog's header photo.

Just about an hour from Gwangju is Boseong, home to the nicest and biggest green tea plantation. The leaves that come from their plants are unique in their fresh, distinctive taste. Here you can feast upon all the above-mentioned delicacies, explore the plantation while breathing in its clean air, and purchase all sorts of green-tea related products. It's such a nice trip that I've been there 3 times, all at different times of the year. It's interesting to see how the fields change from season to season, and the taste of the tea does, too.

Caution: beautiful scenery ahead.
