The only problem with this are the customers who order take-out drinks, and then stay in the shop to enjoy them. That itself defeats the purpose of the program. It would be nice if coffee shops could better regulate how many customers order take-out drinks and then stay, but that is a wishful thought.

Making coffee greener
If you like to drink coffee and you're living in Korea, start taking your own cup to the shop and you'll get discounts from some of the leading Korean chains. Holly's Coffee, Caffe Bene, and Angel-in-us will be rewarding patrons who are environmentally-friendly with free coffee or discounts off the price of their drinks. It's part of a program to use less paper cups and create less waste. Customers who drink their coffee in the shop will be given the shop's signature mugs to use, while take-out customers will still receive paper cups.

Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! I'm happy to hear about this program and discount, as Caffe Bene is one of my favorite shops to grab some coffee.
