Korea does it! After drawing with Nigeria 2-2 in their game yesterday, Korea will move on to the field of 16 teams. Their next opponent is Uruguay on Saturday.
All around me, people are excitedly glued to their televisions for news about the game. And when the game is on, crowds of people gather to watch it anywhere there's a spare television. You can hear the collective cheer from the apartments and restaurants that surround you when there is a good play or a goal, as well as the sighs, groans, cursing, and silence following the bad plays. It truly feels like soccer in Korea is a living, breathing entity made up of millions of Red Devils.
