Interesting news of the day

I'd like to share these two news stories from the Chosun Ilbo with you tonight.  The first story is about a young Korean-Kazakhstani boy named Denis who wants to be an international figure skating star, and credits Kim Yu-Na as his inspiration.  He is the great-great-grandson of famous Korean general Min Keung-ho, who fought against police and the Japanese in the early part of the 20th century.  You can say he definitely has the fighting spirit!  He is currently performing in Seoul until May 16th in the 2010 Bolshoi Show on Ice to gain more experience.

The second story is an article about natural birth in Korea.  The number of women having a natural birth only amounts to less than 1 percent, compared to about 8 percent of women in the U.S.  The actress Kim Se-ah decided to have her baby at home after she became disenchanted with Korea's approach to pregnant women and their babies.  Perhaps with her endorsement of a good natural experience, she could encourage more expectant mothers to try the same.
